Trump Tower Dubai Enters Next Construction Phase
Dubai Enters Next Construction Phase as Podium Contract Is Awarded

Dubai’s skyline is about to get another headline-grabbing address. The 350-metre Trump International Hotel & Tower, Dubai has officially moved into its next construction phase, with developer Dar Global appointing Gulf Asia Contracting to build the project’s podium, a major milestone for one of the most talked-about towers on Sheikh Zayed Road.
The podium contract award follows the completion of enabling works, which are on track to wrap up in September 2026. Once that phase closes out, podium construction — the structural base that supports the tower’s 80 floors, will move forward, keeping the project on its published timeline.
Dar Global CEO Ziad El Chaar confirmed the development remains on schedule, framing the appointment as part of a broader strategy of partnering with established regional contractors to maintain build quality at every stage.
The tower sits at the gateway to Downtown Dubai on Sheikh Zayed Road, arguably the most visible stretch of real estate in the emirate. That location alone puts the project on the radar of investors tracking Dubai luxury real estate in 2026, thanks to unobstructed sightlines to Burj Khalifa, the Downtown skyline, and the Arabian Gulf.
First unveiled in April 2025, the Trump International Hotel & Tower, Dubai blends three asset classes under one address:
- A five-star hotel component
- Branded residences
- A private members’ club
Two signature features are already driving buzz among Dubai property watchers:
- Dubai’s highest outdoor swimming pool, positioned to capture panoramic Downtown views
- Two signature penthouses directly inspired by the original Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue, New York
At approximately 350 metres across 80 storeys, the tower will stand as one of the more prominent additions to Dubai’s ever-growing supertall skyline, alongside other under-construction names like Burj Azizi and Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co Residences.
Branded residences continue to be one of the fastest-growing segments of Dubai’s off-plan and luxury property market, and a US-branded supertall on Sheikh Zayed Road adds a new benchmark for the category. For agents and investors alike, each construction milestone, enabling works, podium, superstructure, is a signal worth tracking, since branded towers of this scale tend to move pricing conversations across the wider Downtown and Business Bay corridor.
